A Q&A with Romancing the Paranormal

ParanormalRomanceFinalWhen authors get together, good things (and sales) happen. That’s the idea behind so many of the successful box sets from indie authors.

Some of those good things also include: community, shared interests, the exchange of ideas. But how can you get that across with just a cover and some copy? Enter the author Q&A as a social tool. The Q&A is a place where authors can share a little more about their book, their interests, and how they recharge between all that writing. We asked the authors behind the new box set Romancing the Paranormal to put together a group Q&A that shows the authors behind a collection that, as they put it, is “Sassy, Sexy, Sizzling.”

Question:  Who are your favorite paranormals?

Answers:

Brandy L Rivers:  Druid. They shift and cast, best of both worlds.

Julia Lake Mills: DRAGONS! Majestic, proud, and loyal. They mate for life. They can fly and also breathe fire upon those that dare to defy me bahahahahaah.

Kym Grosso: As much as I love my wolves, I think I would be a vampire. I’m a night owl already so staying up all night would be great. I love to travel, and teleporting would be a very cool skill to have.

Claudy Conn: My favorite paranormal being: The Fae, because I met them in Ireland and fell in love.

Stephanie Rowe: Wolverine. He’s just so yummy, dangerous, tormented, and heroic. He may not be a “type” of paranormal being, but I think he’s just enough of all that to define his own genre… Did I say yum?

Teresa Treadway Gabelman:  Vampire because they have so many different powers you never know wh

Dakota Cassidy: Um, favorite would have to be fairies, even though I’ve never done one as a main character–because dude, sparkly wings and flying.

Melanie James: I’m going to have to go with vampires, because the men always seem to be the ultimate sexy, badass immortals with a little bite

Cynthia St. Aubin:  For me, it’s all about the werewolves. Give me an alpha any day of the week and twice on Sundays! Maybe three times on Sundays.

D’Elen McClain: A fallen angel… he has a good heart and a naughty soul.

Gena D. Lutz: My favorite paranormal being is the Hunter! S/he has the strength and most of the hyper-acute senses inherent in most of the other paranormal species–using these powers to cull the bad monsters from the good.

Robyn Peterman Zahn: Vampyres…sexy, mysterious and hotter than asphalt in August.

Question: What’s your favorite TV show of all time?

Answers:

Gena D. Lutz Favorite TV show: TRUE BLOOD!!!! I’ve watched the entire TV series–7 seasons—over, and OVER, and over again. Watching the very last episode breaks my heart every time. Great…now the theme song is stuck in my head…time to stick it into yours too! “When you came in the air went out. And every shadow filled up with doubt. I don’t know who you think you are but before the night is through…I wanna do bad things with you!!” (I may be a tad bit obsessed)

Claudy Conn: I am a Vampire Diaries addict.

Victoria Danann: I’ve made no secret of the fact that I, like many others, believe Buffy the Vampire Slayer was the best TV ever. I have a collection of Masters and Doctoral theses that have been written on Buffy. I cried all day the day of the last show and wrote lyrics to the tune of Billy Joel’s “Always a Woman” entitled, She’ll always be Buffy to me.
