Her latest rom-com Hott Take is sure to whisk you away on a delightful adventure. With Serena’s knack for blending spicy romance and laugh-out-loud comedy, her a charming voice rings out once again.

And we’re not the only ones who’ve noticed! According to B&N reviewer, Twinmom16, “Serena Bell has crafted another fantastic story surrounding the Hott brothers. I really enjoy her books, especially the fun banter between characters!”

We are so excited to spotlight Serena Bell as she reflects on her journey.

Sharing My Story

Growing up, my favorite books had big casts of characters. They had loving families, good friends, big meals eaten around welcoming tables. And there was always room for whoever showed up. They also had love stories. I skipped the “boring” parts so I could get to my favorite parts. Those were the moments when the main characters realized how much they cared for each other <3

Imagine my joy when I discovered, as a teenager, that there was a whole genre of books devoted to the falling-in-love story! Even so, it took me decades before I wrote my first romance novel. And it took a few more years after that before I started writing rom-coms. But when I did you can bet they included big families, warm friendships, a big splash of humor, and plenty of spice.

My two most popular series are set in the small town of Rush Creek. Wilder Adventures follows the escapades of five mountain man brothers. They own an outdoor adventuring business and must adapt when their former rodeo town suddenly becomes a weddings-and-spa destination. My Hott Springs Eternal series introduces five more brothers (I know! It’s apparently how fertility works in Rush Creek!) whose troublemaking grandfather has saddled them with a particularly devious will.

The Wilder brothers are bearded outdoorsmen with broad shoulders, gruff demeanors, and soft hearts. Then you have the Hotts. And they are—as one observer puts it—“filthy rich, ridiculously good at what they do, and all a little more wounded than they’d like to admit.” All the men of Rush Creek, though, regardless of their last names or professions, are ready to fall head over heels in love. It just takes the right woman. And of course it’s a woman who is also the most challenging, aggravating, or complicated possible match!

These are the books of my heart, the falling-in-love-and-finding-your-people books I raided the library for as a kid and teenager. I’ve never loved writing anything the way I’ve loved writing these books. They are pure joy for me, and readers have responded in kind.

Finding My Readers

Barnes and Noble Press has been an incredible ally and partner in helping me reach my dream readers. They’ve named several of my books to their coveted “Top Indie Favorites” list, included my books in their Nook Price Promo curated collections, and invited me to participate in new and evolving advertising opportunities. B&N Press cares about its authors and makes that care palpable in every interaction I’ve had with them, respecting my mission as an indie author and helping my books find their specific audience.

Today is release day for Book 2 of the Hott Springs Eternal series, Hott Take, a fake-engagement, celebrity-romance, cosplay-lite romp—and Hott Take, like book 1 in the series, Hott Shot, is a Top Indie Favorite. Later this month, from April 25-May 2, my book Wilder With You from the Wilder Adventures series will be free at Barnes and Noble Press and part of its featured Nook Price promotion. Come meet the hot Hotts and wild Wilders and find out why Rush Creek is a fantastic (and laugh-out-loud funny) place to meet your new book boyfriend, your new crew of book besties, and your new found family.
